Week 24 - 2018

Playing in some water on a hot day.

Fork practice.

More fork practice.
Wiping up all the milk he sprinkled on the floor.

Yep. We still have a bird.

He built himself a little reading nest. He emptied out all the clean laundry (sigh) and then filled the basket with books and pillows.

Pizza heaven.

A papa and his boy.

Ripping up all the coupons.

Stealing mom's shoes.
My beautiful boy.

Painting our bedroom (we chose the darker blue swatch on the left).

Keeping Luc contained and entertained.

This week:
- Luc started saying "car". He likes to yell it while we drive and any time he finds a toy car or truck.
- We had another splash pad outing. It is a great way to wear Luc out and beat the heat.
- Luc had a challenging week getting back into his routine after last week (illness and then Tom and I going out of town). We've had some intense toddler tantrums around here. Luckily it's been (mostly) balanced out by some serious toddler sweetness. He's been giving the best hugs and kisses lately.
- Luc has started to show an interest in "helping." He likes to swing the ladle around while I cook, bring me things, and help clean. If he spills, he finds a cloth to start wiping up his mess. I sincerely hope this behavior sticks around. He's been getting ALL the positive reinforcement.
- We've been doing a lot of painting this week. First, Luc and I made a handprint craft for Father's Day. Luc loved getting his hands in the paint. Second, Tom and I repainted our bedroom. It used to have a dark, golden-olive colored accent wall. That wall has been neutralized and we added a couple of dark blue walls to our room. It's still a work in progress, but I'll post pictures of our room when it's done.
