First of all, let's talk about this guy.
Tom is my favorite. He is kind, talented, and loving. He takes such good care of me. He cheers me up when I'm sad, provides comfort when I am sick, and is patient with me when I need life to slow down. I'm sure having a sick wife is no fun sometimes, but he never complains about missing out on social stuff. He sacrifices a lot for me and I want him to know how much I appreciate him. Five months in to this marriage and I still stop and get all giggly and starry-eyed at least once a day when I remember that I get to keep him.
Next, our home.
Our apartment couldn't be better for where we are in our lives right now. It's smallish (or y'know, "cozy") but it's great for the two of us. It's quiet, clean (though often cluttered), and full of our favorite things. It's a work in progress as we get it decorated, but our home is a peaceful place filled with lots of love. I feel so lucky to have a safe, comfortable home.
The third thing on my list is my job.
Here's a photo from NYC when I flew out for training back in July. (It's me by the New York Stock Exchange!) I have a lot of things I could say about my job, but mainly I just want to say this: They have been so incredibly understanding while I've been ill. Not only that, but my health benefits through work have made it possible for me to get the medical attention that I need. I've been down this road with no and limited insurance and it is... rough. Struggling with your health is hard on its own and worrying about the financial side of things makes everything about 100 times worse. So I'm really glad to be in the position I'm in as a result of my job.
The last thing I'd like to talk about is my support system. My dear friends and family.
These pictures don't include everyone that falls into this category, but you guys know who you are. Thank you for your support and for your love. Thank you for being part of my life and for all that you do. I am surrounded by so many smart, caring, hard working people. I love you all very, very much. Thank you for your emails, texts, visits, and kindness.
I've just been feeling really loved lately. I am extremely blessed and wanted to express some of my gratitude. I warned you this would be mushy, so sorry-not-sorry.

Oh Lauren I LOVE this. You are a gem of a woman, and Tom is lucky to have you (and it sounds like you are just as lucky). I'm so glad you are happy. I hope you get feeling better, you absolutely deserve it! Also, your apartment is so so cute.
