Luc is clutching a radish here leftover from our picnic. He really loved it (?). |

The VERY long walk. Such a patient dad. |
Digging in the sand, splashing in the water, and sucking on all the salty rocks he could get his hands on. |
This week:
- We spent an afternoon with the Woodburys visiting family graves, talking about relatives who have passed, and getting dinner together with Tom's grandma, aunt and uncle, and family.
- We spent about 24 hours in Utah County. Luc got to hang out with his Grandma Woodbury during my infusion appointment. Afterwards, we got lunch with my mom and sister. After lunch, we got to spend some time with Emily and Clark.
- Luc had his first experience at the splash pad. He loved it in spite of the very, very cold water. It was sunny and nice out but the water itself was shockingly cold. Luc was shivering but had to be forced to take warm-up breaks periodically. He'd only put up with being wrapped in a towel for a minute or two at a time before he'd go charging for the water again.
- We took an impromptu trip out to Antelope Island on Saturday. It's just a short drive away from us and neither Tom nor I had been there as adults. It is such a surreal and beautiful place. We had a really nice time until Luc grabbed handfuls of wet, salty sand and rubbed them in his eyes. Yeah. Luckily there were some outdoor showers to rinse off with. We had a lot of fun in spite of the drama right at the end. And bonus - Luc slept in until 9:30 this morning.
Luc updates:
-He has gotten really good at waving hello and goodbye. He also says "bye!" in the sweetest little voice.
- Luc's obsession with kicking, throwing, and bouncing balls continues.
- Luc hates gettings dressed. In order to make it less miserable we've started playing peekaboo while we do it ("where's Luc arm?, shove it through the sleeve, "Oh there it is! Peekaboo!"). Now Luc says "boo" every time we put a limb through an arm or leg whole.
