Week 49 - 2018

Lunchtime. He kept biting his apple slices into shapes to show me. "C! Shark! Elephant!"

To keep Luc entertained, we set up his mini tent in the living room for a few days this week.

This week:
- We spent a lot of time at home. It's been pretty cold outside, I'm still not feeling up to doing a whole lot, and we've been without a car during the day. We've had to get creative with activities.
- Luc brought me his Rex toy one day along with a pair of his shoes and asked for my help. I put the shoes on the dino and he spent the next hour making Rex do all kinds of "Luc" things. Walking, hopping, sitting in the high chair, etc.
- One of Luc's favorite shows lately has been Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He has learned most of the characters' names - Minnie, Duck, "Nowse" (Mickey Mouse), and Pete. He is weirdly obsessed with Pete and laughs and claps whenever he comes on screen.
- If Luc sees a brush of any kind he thinks he should use it to brush his teeth. This week I have had to stop him from using a hairbrush, a vacuum attachment, and a toilet brush on his teeth. So beware.
- Luc is FINALLY consistently saying hi! and buh-bye! He has known has for a while but would save the words for special occasions.
- Luc has learned to say the words "sad" and "cry". He will pick up one of his toys and say "saaad". The he says "cryyyy" and runs to the tissue box. He dabs the toy's face with the tissue and gives it hugs and kisses.
- Our bird Artoo died this past week. Tom buried her in the mountains on a very snowy day. Luc has been asking for her and was very confused when I put her cage away. :( We'll miss you, little bird.
