Week 3 - 2018

Lucas giving some love to his Great Grandpa Bingham

Playing piano with his papa.

First real snow experience. He was more enthused than his face might indicate.

BRB. Framing this. Possibly my favorite picture of these two.

Chowing down on snow. After about two minutes of this, he suddenly realized his hands were freezing. Tears ensued.

Luc's favorite activites right now include lots and lots of books...

...and lot and lots of harassing our poor bird. He can't reach her, but he likes to do pulls ups on the table to see her. He will swing back and forth while dangling from the edge of the table.

I've been baking a lot of bread this week. It's how I cope with the cold.

Testing out the hiking backpack I got Tom for Christmas.

We hadn't tried putting Luc's sun hat on him since the summer. Clearly we need a new one.
Luc has been bringing me books all week and begging me to read them. He likes to "help" turn the pages. The boy is insatiable with books but I can't say that I mind.

David's Uncle Bub (David) came over this week and Lucas was very, very pleased to have a buddy. David is much better than I am at the tossing/tumbling type of play and Luc was into it.

We spent the weekend in the Orem/Lindon area. My brother, sister-in-law, and niece were visiting from California (somehow I got zero pictures?) and we got to spend some time together. Seeing Daisy made me realize how giant my child is. He's hardly even a baby anymore. A friend posted a line from Peter Pan about her son (who, coincidentally, was born the same day as Lucas). It's been echoing in my head: "Little boys should never be sent to bed, they always wake up a day older." Um, yeah. Queue the water works. Sidenote: On that subject, Lucas is finally sleeping through the night. It's life changing.

We also got to spend some time with Tom's family. His parents just got back from a trip to Mexico. They're photos were all beautiful and have me dreaming of days on the beach.

Video of Lucas not saying mama. Oh well.
