Week 19 - 2018

Following along with "Wind the Bobbin Up" (his favorite song).

Winding up the "nun nun" (clock) and hanging out in his box.

Another day, another box photo. He hung out in here all week.

A baby eating corn. He loved it. And no, he didn't eat the whole thing. We have more compassion for his tiny GI tract than that.
The first picture ever taken of Lucas. The moment I became a mom.

This week:
- Luc stepped up his babbling game. He chatters all day long in a language that sounds like Taz the Tazmanian Devil.
- Lots of silly dancing and singing.
- Luc did some finger painting.
- The A/C in our car wasn't working. It was in the shop for a few days and we had a loaner vehicle. It was a Dodge minivan like the one my family had when I was growing up. I had all kinds of weird flashbacks.
- I've been looking back at the last 14 months as Mother's Day approached this week. Motherhood is hard. It is exhausting (seriously. words cannot accurately describe the levels of exhaustion I have experienced). It's hilarious and humbling. And also, frequently, gross. But I love my boy. I wouldn't trade him for anything... even if I could go back to sleeping in whenever I felt like it. Or give back the stretch marks. My messy house, the sleepless nights, the misery of being pregnant... it's all been worth it.
