Following along with "Wind the Bobbin Up" (his favorite song). |
Winding up the "nun nun" (clock) and hanging out in his box. |
Another day, another box photo. He hung out in here all week. |
A baby eating corn. He loved it. And no, he didn't eat the whole thing. We have more compassion for his tiny GI tract than that. |
The first picture ever taken of Lucas. The moment I became a mom. |
This week:
- Luc stepped up his babbling game. He chatters all day long in a language that sounds like Taz the Tazmanian Devil.
- Lots of silly dancing and singing.
- Luc did some finger painting.
- The A/C in our car wasn't working. It was in the shop for a few days and we had a loaner vehicle. It was a Dodge minivan like the one my family had when I was growing up. I had all kinds of weird flashbacks.
- I've been looking back at the last 14 months as Mother's Day approached this week. Motherhood is hard. It is exhausting (seriously. words cannot accurately describe the levels of exhaustion I have experienced). It's hilarious and humbling. And also, frequently, gross. But I love my boy. I wouldn't trade him for anything... even if I could go back to sleeping in whenever I felt like it. Or give back the stretch marks. My messy house, the sleepless nights, the misery of being pregnant... it's all been worth it.
