Reading a brochure upside down.

This week:
- We had a lot of fun celebrating Independence Day. We swam, we saw fireworks, we barbecued, we went to a parade, and went to a fair.
- Luc's vocabulary is completely exploding. It's hard to even keep up with the words he is learning. He likes to repeat words he hears and attempts to say any word you try to teach him. While it's not always super clear what he is saying, it's been really cool to see him trying so hard and learning so much.
- A few of his favorite words this week: moon, shoe, button, keys, phone.
- Luc has just been the silliest, friendliest kid lately. Weeks like this are the ones I live for as a mom.
- So many animal sounds. Luc loves to memorize the noises animal makes. Some of them I haven't even taught him, he's just doing his best to mimic animals he sees on TV or in person. He can do horse, cow, pig, sheep, goat, dog, cat, rooster, elephant, lion, fish, snake, and probably a couple more I'm forgetting.
- Layton City had an orchestra play on the 4th. Luc loved singing along to the Jurassic Park suite. He also enjoyed chattering at all the other audience members. He even climbed on a woman's lap and pointed out all her facial features, naming them as he went. He has no sense of boundaries... Ah well.
- Luc's Aunt Amy came to visit and also his Uncle Joe and cousin Clark. Lucas was very, very excited.
