Week 31 - 2018

A very stern pirate captain.

Luc with his first mate.

Giving his bus a bottle.

My baby fell asleep on my lap. This is a very rare occurrence these days.

Just sitting at the table like a big kid. Any chair left unattended becomes his.

Hard to see - but Luc decided to use his cheese stick as a crayon on our fridge. He had a huge meltdown when I stopped him.

Visitors! Luc was not at all shy about cozying up to his new friends.

"Choo!" On the train at the zoo.

Two very hot boys at the zoo.

Monkey see, monkey do.

Thanks grandma for the trip to the zoo!
This week:
- We had a pretty awful week. Luc was a sobbing, screaming mess at least 80% of the time. And the remainder of the time he was getting into mischief.
- Luc decided that waking up at 10 pm, 1 am, and 4 am was a good idea. Send caffeine. We're dying.
- We had a fun time visiting with friends and family.
- One of Tom's oldest friends came to visit with his family. Luc was so sweet with their daughter. He just wanted to pet her hair and cuddle her. She was very patient with his aggressive affection.
- We went to a family reunion for Tom's maternal side going back two generations. The reunion was pirate themed and Luc had a lot of fun making his "pirate noise" at everyone. (It sounds confusingly like a pig snorting. It's weird.)
- We went to the zoo with Grandma Woodbury and Luc's cousin Clark. It was an extremely hot day but still a great time. Seeing the baby primates interact was adorable. And the zoo animals were pretty cute too. ;) Grandma spoiled us with rides on the carousel and train and a ice cream break in the shade.
- Luc's nana came to see us. If you want to see a happy boy, surprise him with a visit from someone he loves. He was so happy to play with her and to dig through her bag of wonders. (A power cord! Glasses! A phone!) We love visits and appreciate when people make the long drive up to our house. :)

Here's hoping Luc decides to start sleeping again and that next week is better than last. We're struggling around here.
