Week 32 - 2018

CHVRCHES concert in Ogden

Look, no kids! Kara and Kade were there too, but we didn't get a picture all together.

We bought a grill! We broke it in with some steaks and corn.

Breakfast at Village Inn to honor Tom's late grandfather's birthday. Luc spent most of his time playing with Grandma and Great Grandma Woodbury.

Taking care of his baby and his giraffe. Luc was mostly naked this week because it was so hot.

Reading books. (With me in the same tank top I wore almost every day this week. Remember how I mentioned it's been miserably hot?)

An overwhelmed new father. He got this baby doll this week and loves to take care of her. This picture cracked me up because it gave me flashbacks to how Tom and I felt during the first few months with Luc.

Some snuggles. Luc will slide himself into any gap he can find to snuggle up next to me. I love it.

The well child waiting room at Luc's pediatrician's office. We went for his 15 month checkup at about 17 months. Oops. Happy to report he is healthy and his head is still in the 98th percentile.

A had a craving for pot roast. So this happened.

Books, books, books. Luc's first fully enunciated, super clear word is "book".

This week:
- This week mostly consisted of nakedness, books, Luc cuddles (with me and with his baby doll), and terrible sleep.
- Kara and Kade came and babysat Luc for an evening. They brought Chinese takeout and gave us a much needed break. They also brought Hank the poodle and Luc's head basically exploded with joy.
- We saw CHVRCHES play at the Ogden Twilight Concert Series. They put on a great show and we enjoyed a baby free night.
- Tom had a crazy week at work. Luc and I brought dinner to his office one night. We ate together at an empty desk. Luc had fun playing with Tom's desk doodads and he shrieked at volumes that were completely inappropriate for an office setting.
- The terrible air quality and the intense heat kept us inside a lot. Luc watched way too much TV and we are all going a little crazy.
- Luc's favorite book to read lately is about the solar system. He can point to and name Saturn, Pluto, the moon, and stars. He can also correctly point out Mars, Earth, and Jupiter when asked.
