Week 35 - 2018

We let Luc out of the carrier for part of the time so that he could practice hiking. He stopped to inspect, taste, and throw every single rock on the trail.

Amy's birthday lobster. Luc: "Turtle?" Me: "No, that's a lobster." Luc: "...bug."

Luc can get on my stool in under 2 seconds.

Luc eating a grilled cheese at the Target cafe to recover from a massive tantrum. Shopping with mom is hard.

Luc set up a little restaurant scene for himself. He had a brochure he was using as a menu, a little frying pan for a plate, and this tall toy for a cup. He was delighted when I put a few puffs in the frying pan.

This week:
- Luc is trying really hard to communicate his ideas. We were looking at his grandma's bunny Ella. He pointed at her and said, "Dog?" I explained that she was not a dog, she was a bunny. Luc then said, "Ah... butt. (What he calls a bunny.)  Ma-nee? (What he calls food). Peach." Translation, Luc wanted to feed Ella the bunny a peach. We fed her some parsley instead and Luc clapped for himself.
- Luc has become even more mama obsessed. He has to stop what he is doing every two minutes to come over, pat my arm, and say "mamama." He usually gives me a big squeeze and then runs off to continue getting into trouble.
- Luc giggles to himself whenever he successfully communicates an idea or completes a task. I love seeing him be so proud of himself.
- Lately, whenever Luc takes a sip of anything he gets a big smile and says, "Ahhh."
