Week 37 - 2018

Luc chowing down on watermelon or what he would call "may-in" (melon).

Lil family barbecue on a Monday evening.

Two words for you: pear cake. It's the most heavenly thing in the world with a cup of tea.

We ate it for breakfast all week. I miss it already.

Mama snuggles.

We got Luc's passport photo taken. His little face is just the sweetest.

I gave Luc another haircut. He's getting more patient with me.

Building a giant car. Luc built that huge car without assistance.

Bubbles!

Chalk and bubbles on the patio.

Tom picked up these Ghibli fanart postcards at FanX last weekend. I bought some frames for them and we're going to hang them in Luc's room.

My kitchen rugs are clearly better off in the living room. According to Luc.

This boy. He was giving me this look because he knew he was about to get in trouble. One timeout later, he was a much changed boy.

After a very long weekend working on our bathroom, I was disheartened to realize I'd bought the wrong size cabinet handles. Oops. Also I forgot to take a "before" picture. But I sanded, repainted, and replaced the hardware on our bathroom vanity. The vanity used to be an unfortunate tan color and now it is white. I am very pleased. Also my back hurts and I need to buy different handles still.
Also Tom mounted this medicine cabinet in our bathroom!

Reading with "Uh-mees".

Tom bought me some beautiful, surprise flowers. (Surprise flowers are the best flowers.)
This week:
- Luc has recently started saying zebra. He calls them "zeebs" and it makes me laugh every time.
- When Luc wants you to read to him or play with him, he chucks the book or toy at you. Not the best habit.
- Luc likes to say that things are cool. But he always stretches out the o's and really emphasizes the L. So it sounds like "coooo-ell".
- Another one of his favorite things to do right now is to push people around the room. Also not the best habit. He sneaks up behind you and says "poooo-sh" in a super high voice and then pushes you from place to place. He doesn't push you OVER, just around.
- This boy has been a bottomless pit. Also, he still calls food "muh-nee". He asks for more muh-nee about 100 times a day. He's not just saying it out of boredom, either. He will devour anything you give him. I kept track a couple days last week and realized he was eating as much or more than I was. I am not a light eater. I'm assuming this is a growth spurt?
