Week 38 - 2018

Feeding some ducks.

Chalk at the park. We found a sidewalk filled with other kids' artwork and Luc was very excited.

Probably the last photo of Luc at a restaurant you'll see for a while (barring special events). He was a terror.

Luc saw me wiping down the counters and insisted on cleaning his own chair.

Playtime in the morning. He suddenly looks so much older to me.

Staring into a flashlight. I'm sure that's great for his eyes.

Lobster baby stole the oven mitts.

Drumming (very loudly) on the table during a frozen yogurt outing.

Not sure how he feels about this stuff.

Wood chips! Everywhere! His favorite thing at the park.

Luc cried when I put him in the baby swing and kept demanding to sit in the big kid swing. He held on very tightly and was actually successful at balancing while I pushed him.

Mother and boy.

Eggs benedict for dinner one night. My hollandaise sauce was a little too thick and slid off the eggs. But it was delicious.

Aquarium with his bud Elliot.

Smelling a flower.

Also this.

Caught in the act of licking up a mud puddle.

Little business baby hearing about an impossible work deadline.
This week:
- Luc continued to be both extra sweet and extra intense. I am starting to wonder if these extremes are actually his normal. He is full of love and cuddles one moment and then screaming and flailing the next.
- Luc has started saying "o-ooh" when he drops something and "cold" when he spills on himself (which is often).
- I spent Friday night having a sleepover with all my local sisters (/sisters in law) as a birthday celebration. We somehow managed to take zero pictures. Oops. But it was such a lovely night. Tom stayed home with Luc while I was gone. I was a little bit worried that Luc would get upset while I was away because he's been so clingy lately. But he and Tom had a great time together and he didn't even get sad at the lack of nursing at bedtime or in the morning. I'm about ready to get him weaned, so that was encouraging.
