Week 42 - 2018

He used his sippy cup lid as a "tass" (hat) on his puppy. He was VERY proud of himself.

Toast with jam. He'd already had a bowl of oatmeal, but devoured two whole pieces of toast as well.

Puzzles.

Eating his lunch and contemplating his fate. Note the hair cutting supplies on the table.

I know he's making a very silly face here, but I found it very cute. Pre-haircut.

Post-bath crazy hair and mismatched jammies.

Living Planet Aquarium

Checking out the otters.

With Aunt Amy, Uncle Kevin, and his cousin Daisy

Petting a large sea turtle statue

Amy slept over and we had hootnannies in the morning.

The most idyllic park outing.

Well. Sort of. (No babies were harmed in the taking of this photo.)
Luc discovered that he can rock himself in the glider.

Croquet at the Harvey family reunion.

We got our carpets steam cleaned (hooray for cheap groupon deals).

This week:
- Luc learned the word mess. Now he tries to shake his juice onto things to intentionally make a mess that he can wipe up while shouting "mess!!"
- Luc also learned the words moose, "whoo" (like an owl), fruit, kick, mirror, and off.
- Luc's favorite shows right now are: Puffin Rock, Sesame Street (which he either calls "Street" or "'Mo/Elmo"), and True and the Rainbow Kingdom. It's really funny to see him start to get the jokes and to respond to what he's watching. It's a liiiittle concerning that he finds physical humor so funny, but mostly I'm just pleased to see his sense of humor coming out more and more. When Bartleby the cat falls down the stairs in True, he absolutely cackles.
- After several weeks of dealing with a UC flare, I was at my limit energy-wise. My mom offered to take Luc for a couple of days to give me and Tom a chance to get some rest. Luc has done so well with his grandparents and has handled his time away better than I could have hoped. That being said, we miss our boy and are looking forward to having him back home tomorrow morning.
