Spitz for lunch one day. Luc was really into it. |
My baby asleep on my lap. It was a rare and precious moment. So rare and precious that I didn't force him to wake up until 5 pm and then we were up ALL NIGHT LONG. Worth it though. |
- Luc is getting good at recognizing numbers and letters (or rather, the categories "numbers" and "letters"). He will call out random letter or number names, but is pretty good at differentiating between the two categories. He has surprised me though because he actually seems to get a few of them correct pretty consistently. He can tell me two, six, eight, and zero. And he seems to recognize the letter B.
- Luc USED to know how to say Pooh (as in the bear). But he's switched to calling him Poop the bear. Which is not ideal.
- Luc has started announcing "night!" when he is tired. Then he'll grab a blanket and lay in the corner.
- I hear "kiiiick" all day every day. Luc is really into kicking and he has to yell it while he does the action.
- Luc has decided that he has some serious opinions about EVERYTHING. He asks for a show. I say yes and turn on Elmo or something. And then he says "no!" and shakes his finger at the TV. If you humor him, he will continue to declare "no! no!" until you guess the correct show he was thinking of. Better still, he sometimes has a specific section of a show or movie he expects you to navigate to. We generally do not humor him. Sigh.
- It has been a whole week since Luc last nursed. I'm feeling a lot of feelings. He decided he was done and it certainly feels like time to be done. But it makes me a little sad to let go of Luc's babyhood.
- Health update: we've all been doing a little better the last few days (fingers crossed). Who knows if we're all out of the woods with our various health issues... but I'm appreciating the reprieve anyway.
